winona paid $100 for a lifetime membership to the zoo, so that she could gain admittance to the zoo for only $1 per visit. Write winona's average cost per visit C as a function of the number of visits when she has visited x times. what is her average cost per visit when she has visited the zoo 100 times?Graph the function for x>0. what happens to her average cost per visit if she starts when she is young and visits the zoo everyday?

Mathematics (and Science) Instruction by a Mathematician!
If she pays $x per entry, and has already sunk $100 into the lifetime membership, she pays the sum of these two quantities to visit x total times!
What does the graph of y=x+S look like for some constant S (the sunk cost)?
This is a line, what is the slope (coefficient of x) and what are the x- and y- intercepts...Draw a picture!
If this line we drew shows her cost y after x visits to the zoo, how much has she paid per visit (the avg cost per visit)?
This would be given by C=(total cost for x visits)/(number of visits).
Plug in x=100.
Draw a new picture for C as a function of the number of visits, x. What happens as x increases???
