Whats t =

There are two possibilities Here:
s = (1/7) gt2 and s = 1/(7gt2 ) . The parenthesis placement give two different answers for t
if s = (1/7) gt2, then by cross multiplication 7s = gt2
Divide by g on both sides, you get (7s/g) = t2, and t = ±√ (7s/g)
if s = 1/(7gt2), then by cross multiplication s ( 7gt2) = 1, and t2= 1/(7sg), and t = ±√(1/(7gs))
I gave you two possibilities, but I believe that the first one is the more credible one. as it is similar to free falling equation for distance as a function of the gravitational acceleration. s=(1/2)gt2, I am also doubting that the 7 in the given problem should have been 2.

Is it just 1/(7gt2) or 1/(7gt2)
Either way you must "rescue" t or t2 out of the ground, the denominator. This means to multiply t or t2 by both sides of the equation.
Remember t or t2 must be alone. So get rid of s or bury it in the ground. This means to divide both sides by it.
If solving for t, then you need to take the square root of tWhatever you do for one side of the equation you must do both.

Is the equation s = (1/7)gt2 or 1/(7gt2)? The placement of parenthesis will have a large impact on your answer.
