Hi Jess. Seems you need homework help. First of all, as a teacher, I love to help my students figure things out themselves. Try this:
Step one: How many halves are in 3 and a half?
Step two: multiply that answer by 10, to get the number of feet.
For example, if you measure one inch, how many half inches is that? So how many times 10 feet? Get the idea?
One half is ten feet. Three halves (one and a half) is thirty feet.
Hahaa. So I won't give you the answer, but I believe you can figure it out. It's much more fun that way (and I won't be there when you take your test!).
Blessings,
Cynthia H
