<E.F.G is divided into two parts by a ray.One of the smaller angles formed is an obtuse angle and the other is an acute angle.Which of these cannot be the measure of <E.F.G? 89 , 109, 98, 118

An obtuse angle means an angle greater than 90°.

An acute angle is an angle under 90°.

 

In order to get the angle split to have both an obtuse AND an acute, we need a degree that's larger than 90° in the first place:

89 -- no

109 -- yes

98 -- yes

118 -- yes

 

So ∠EFG cannot be 89°
