First, remember the rule for multiplying radicals: √x * √y = √(xy)
So you can multiply through in the denominator to get √(7*14) = √98
Now you have √2 / √98
Also remember the rule for dividing radicals: √x / √y = √(x/y)
So that means that √2 / √98 = √(2/98)
Divide both the numerator and denominator of 2/98 by 2, and that gives you √(1/49), which is equal to √1 / √49 (by the division rule again).
That's equal to 1/7
