Are you solving for x? If you are here are the steps:

First multiply both sides of the equations by 6.849 so you can get rid of the denominator on the left side of the eqaution. You will get

1249/x= 39.08*6.849

1249/x=267.65892

now multiply both sides by x. You get

1249=267.65892 x

Now that x is in the numerator solving for x is easy. 

1249/267.65892=x

x=4.66386609

Don't be intimidated by numbers with decimals, they are still just constants and treated like any other.

So to solve, you want to isolate the variable x.  

(1249/x)/6.849 = 39.08  > Multiply both sides by 6.849

1249/x = 39.08*6.849   > Flip both sides of the equation

x/1249 = 1/(39.08*6.849)   > Multiply both sides by 1249

x = 1249/(39.08*6.849)    > Use a calculator to get 

x = 4.666

(1249 / x) / 6.849 = 39.08

(1249 / x) / 6.849 * 6.849 = 39.08 * 6.849

1249 / x * x = 267.65892 * x

267.65892x / 267.65892 = 1249 / 267.65892 (I switched the sides of the equation just for personal preference)

x = 4.66638... which is going to round off to 4 and 2/3rds.
