Which Chinese city do you like the most?

I like Shanghai the most because it feels very modern and international, with lots of food, shopping, and things to do. Guangzhou is also great, especially for food, the Cantonese cuisine there is amazing and very authentic. Beijing is more historical, with famous places like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, so it’s really interesting culturally. Overall, each city has its own vibe, but Shanghai stands out to me the most.

Having been to all these three cities when my hometown is near Guangzhou and my internship led me to Beijing and Shanghai, I definitely have different feelings for them.

Guangzhou is a city I'm familiar with since my childhood but filled with unpredictable potential and opportunities, which made it mysterious like mist but at the same time inclusive like a senior who always welcome your visit;

Beijing is a surprisingly large and serious city where you can completely lost your direction physically and mentally, but you can also find your place and your chance to do what you want to try;

Shanghai is more like a generation as the 20s, full of energy and freshness, where you are able to meet all kinds of brand new field and people with energetic power to win something for their career, no matter what they want to win for is.

I’ve lived in both Beijing and Shanghai, and I’d say Shanghai is my favorite. It’s cleaner, more modern, yet still full of history, especially with its charming old buildings from the ’90s. Beyond the amazing Chinese food, the city also offers a wide range of Western restaurants and cozy coffee spots. Plus, there’s no shortage of cultural experiences like museums, talk shows, and art galleries to explore.

I have been to all these 3 cities, they are very different.

If you are interested in Chinese history and culture, Beijing is the best city to visit.

Guangzhou has its own local culture and food there is great.

If you like modern metropolis, that's Shanghai.
