What are your core teaching values?

As a teacher and tutor, I'd say my values are to further understand and enrich the curiosity and excitement that made students come to be interested in learning anything especially music. I know that there are many days where learning and practicing can be discouraging when you have this type of passion for expression but my job or my duty is to continue to foster that passion and excitement while challenging the student and allowing them to make mistakes. I understand that there are many days where teachers don't see the realizations of their teaching for a very long time but I know that helping students grow and continue to be excited about music is the core motivation for wanting to teach.

A a teacher, It is my duty to give all my students the very best foundation so that if they have the tools to succeed in the music profession. I believe that as teachers, we must do everything we can to give children the very best start to music, constantly moulding there there bow and left hand right from the beginning.

It is also very important that we always teach from a place of optimism and encouragement, framing feedback in a positive light. Creating an environment that motivates my students is very important in order support their long term growth

My core teaching values involve making sure I never get upset with the student regardless of level because I was there at some point and so were many other people who are experts in that subject. I believe, no matter who I am tutoring, I must give the service. If the student is slacking then I have to find some way to motivate the student. I as a tutor should not slack because I want to make sure I give the student as much help as I can within the allotted time. At the end of the day, my values ensure growth and keep the student in mind whenever I make a decision about the tutoring session.
