We need to utilize the slope formula for this problem in order to find a solution
We have two points that come from function notation such as h(5)=7 and h(-3)=1.
(5,7) (-3, 1)
Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1=m
So we identify are variables: x1=5, y1=7, x2=-3, y2=1
Then we substitute into the formula to find the slope (rate of change)
1-7/-3-5=-6/-8 which simplifies to positive 3/4 for the slope
So m=3/4

The points are (5,7) and (-3,1). So the slope is (7-1)/(5 - -3)=6/8=3/408/18/24
