This question's a lot simpler than it sounds, though we're missing some information; I'm assuming the previous problem has height = h and width = w. If that's the case...
PART 1: Consider the equation for a rectangle's area, height times width. Then we can substitute our variables accordingly:
height: Still equals height. h
width: The previous width plus your addition: w + 4w^2
So the rectangle's area is now h * (w + 4w^2).
PART 2: Perform the same operations using the added amount, separating height and width accordingly. This should also be a good guideline for similar problems, even with different shapes.
