what is easiest way to find 36*5,I want the one step to find the answer ,show me that step.

I am not looking for the answer.I want to know the easiest step or quick way to find the solution.

There might be other ways, but one way is to multiply by 10, then divide by 2. Use this technique when the number you are multiplying by 5 is a 2 or 3 digit even number.

Multiplying by 10 is easy, just add a 0. Since the original number is even, just cut it in half, then add the 0. So, another way to think about it divide by 2 add a 0.

1. If you are a visual learner : Array/Visual Representation: Draw a grid with 36 squares in one row and 5 rows. Count the total number of squares, which is 180.
2. If you are a learner with concrete strategies (grade 1 to 3), I would teach you with Base Ten Blocks. 3 rods and 6 units!
