If f(x)=1000 -∞<x<∞
then at all points x in the domian,
the derivative df(x)/dx=0,,,,derivative of constant function=0
but if f(x)=1000,,,,,x=4
f(x)=x2 ,,,,,x<4 and x>4
then the function at x=4 is discontinuous
and the point (4,1000) is isolated
in this case df(x)/dx is undefined at x=4, f(x)=1000
