Based on the information you have provided above, I would say that the art teacher has to fill up the measuring cup with yellow paint a total of 8 times (4 times for each of the two colors used) because in order to make the secondary color green, you need to mix yellow and blue paint together. Therefore, half of the measuring cup will contain yellow paint and the other half of the measuring cup will contain blue paint--with the two given primary colors subsequently mixed together evenly to result in one batch of green paint every time around until you get the grand total of four batches of green paint sought after.
