Sounds like she purchased 3/4th of a 1/2 full pan. That's 3/4th of 1/2 which is multiplication of two proper fractions. 3/4 x 1/2.
Remember to multiply the tops (numerators) and bottoms (denominators).
See if the result can be reduced to lowest terms by finding a common factor. (May not be one here!)
