if the width of the whole interval is 2 (from 0 to 2), and n=4, then each interval has a width of 0.5. The midpoints of each of those intervals are x = 0.25, 0.75, 1.25, and 1.75.
Plug each of those values into the function, add up the results, and multiply the sum by the width of one interval, 0.5. You can do this because every rectangle has the same width.
