I don't understand

3V +7B = 161

mutliply 2nd equation by 2

6V +14B = 322

subtract 1st equation from the last equation to get

4V = 322-294 = 28

V = 28/4 = 7 Vans

7B = 161-3(7) = 161-21

B = 140/7 = 20 Busses

Van 7, Bus 20

None of the choices is correct, but C) looks like what you might choose, assuming it's a misprint that switched Van with Bus

2(7) +14(20) =14+ 280 = 294

3(7) + 7(20) = 21 + 140 = 161
