Post both definitions from your book and then someone can point it out but it should be obvious after you read the definitions/theorems from the provided literature. In math beyond algebra/trig, you have-have-have to read the theorems and definitions else you will not understand s**t. You already know basic arithmetic. Calculus is applied algebra which requires knowledge of words and their definitions. Read-read-read else fail-fail-fail. Good luck!
