lim h -> 0 ((-3 + h)^3 - 9) / h

how is the answer -1 and not zero? what do I do before plugging in the zero so that I would get -1?

after I expanded it, I plugged in the h for zero in the denominator. that gave me a different answer. was i supposed to do something else for the denominator?

my bad, it's actually lim h -> 0 ((-3 + h)^2 - 9) / h
