What is the missing constant term in the perfect square that starts with x^2-12xx 2 −12xx, squared, minus, 12, x ?

x^2 - 12 x + (12/2)^2
= x^2 -12x + 36
= (x-6)^2
to complete the square take half the x term's coefficient and square it. Half of 12 is 6. square it and it's 6^2 = 36
