Make sure that you walk through the problem step by step and insert the right information. Setting up and seeing the problem can often be the most difficult.
Nine (9) subtracted (-) from (put this after the next part four times (4 multiplied) a number (x) is less than or equal to (≤) fifteen (15). Write an inequality and solve it.
So, simplifying it further you get 4x-9≤15
Add 9 (+9) to both sides, gives you 4x≤24
Divide the 4 over, gives you the answer of x≤6
Just as a side note, if you ever multiply or divide by a negative number you must switch the direction of the inequality symbol. So if the question was -4x≤24, then the answer would be x≥6.
