Let the length of a rectangle = L feet

and the width of a rectangle = W feet

Use the following rectangle formulas to solve this problem

Area of a rectangle ( A) = length x width

Perimeter of a rectangle ( P) = 2 ( length + width )

Now substitute A = 65 feet, P = 36 feet, length = L feet and width = W feet in the above formulas

65 = L x W 36 = 2 ( L + W )

13 x 5 = L x W ---- 1 (65 = 13 x 5) 18 = L + W

13 + 5 = L + W ----- 2 (18 = 13 + 5 )

From 1 and 2 equations L = 13 feet and W = 5 feet

so, the dimensions of the tent are 13 feet length and 5 feet width.
