1/2t + 6 = -7
to get a negative on the right side you need a negative on the left side. 1/2t = -13
t has to be negative. if it were positive, 1/2t could not = a negatve number
depending on how you intended it, as 1/(2t) or (1/2)t the value of t is different, but either way t<0 t is either -26 or -1/26
You wrote it as 1/(2t) but you probably meant (1/2)t, so t=-26 most likely.
