If it discharges that amount per second, it would discharge more cubic feet per hour. How much more? There are 3,600 seconds in one hour, so to find how much water is discharged per hour, multiply the original number by 3600: 3,800,000 * 3,600 ---> I'll leave the math up to you :)
Likewise for cubic feet per year...find out how many seconds are in a year: 3600 seconds in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year. You would multiply 3,800,000 by EACH of those three numbers to get the number of cubic feet of water discharged in a year: 3,800,000 * 3600 * 24 * 365
Again, I'll leave the calculation part up to you but it should be smooth sailing from there. You got this!
