If every minute 2.5 gallons of water flows from the hose into the tank, then within 12 minutes
2.5 x 12 = 30 gallons of water will flow.
The tank already has 18.5 gallons of water in it. And we add 30 gallons of water. So, to find
total amount of water, we need just add those two numbers.
18.5 + 30 = 48.5 gallons.
Answer: after 12 minutes it will be 48.5 gallons of water in the tank (answer 3)
