Dear Ki
The tricky part of this problem is to note that there is a relation between the weight of the grapes and the weight of papayas. This relation is given by
(3/4) Wg = (3/5) Wp where I called Wg the weight of the grapes y Wp the weight of papayas
Because the problem is asking only about the weight of papayas, we have to do the following:
(3/4) Wg = (3/5) Wp
(5/3) * (3/4) Wg = (5/3)*(3/5) Wp I multiplied both sides of the equality (=) by the number (5/3)
(5/4) Wg = Wp Here the number "3" was cancelled in the left side and (5/3)*(3/5) = 1
It means that the weight of a bunch of papayas is equal 5-fourths of the weigh of a bunch of grapes
If the weight of the bunch of grapes is (x + 28)
Then the weight of the bunch of papayas is: (5/4)*(x+28) = (5/4) x + 35
Answer: The weight of papaya is equal to (5/4) x + 35
