Write the equation in the form y = mx + b. Through (−5, −4), slope −3
y = -3x+b because m = slope = -3
Replace x by -5 and y by -4: -4 = -3(-5) +b ---> -4 = 15+b so b = -19
so the equation: y = -3x - 19
