Does removing a phone from case and putting it back in frequently cause scratches

Question

I take my phone out of case just about every 30 minutes to use it on MagSafe magnetic GPS, am I scratching the bumper of iPhone doing this so often ?taking In and out of the case so often seems like it would be scratching or is this in my head ?

If the case is tight around the phone and has imperfections, it could very well cause abrasions. I do not think that this question is related to phonics though! :-)
