How can I solve this:

Jack and Bill drive 470km to Ottawa. They take turns driving on the trip. When Jack drives, he goes 100km/h, and when Bill drives, he goes 90km/h. If the whole trip took 5 hours, how long did each person drive for?

100j + 90b = 470

average speed= 470/5 = 94 kph

bill drove more than jack

if they had been driven 2.5 hours their average speed would have been 95 kph

let x = time Jack drove and 5-x = time (hours) bill drove

100x + 90(5-x) = 470

100x -90x = 470 -450

10x = 20

x = 20/10 = 2 hours driving by Jack

3 hours for Bill
