The perimeter of a triangular lot is 600 feet. The longest side is 50 feet less than twice the shortest side. The middle side is 50 feet less than the longest side. Find the lengths of the three sides. Write an algebraic equation

L=2S -50

M= L-50= 2S-50-50 = 2S -100

S+M+L = 600

S +2S -100 + 2S -50 = 600

5S = 750

S =750/5 = 150 feet for the Shortest side

M=2(150)-100 = 300-100 = 200 feet for the Middle side

L =2(150)-50= 300-50 = 250 feet for the Longest side

150+200+250 = 600
