Help with syeps to evaluate

Log2 8+log2(x+1)=4 need help evaluating the problem. If i could get some help that would be great!

log of 8 to base 2 = 3.

2^3 = 8

log(x+1) to the base 2 = 4-3 = 1

2^1 = x+1

x = 2-1 = 1

x = 1

log2(8) + log2(1+1) = 4

3 + 1 = 4
