slope = the coefficient of the x term, when the equation is solved for y
slope = 1/4 = the derivative of y
Unless you actually meant to write y=1/(4x) + 4/5
which is what you did wrote given PEMDAS, the order of operations with M before D,
multiplication before division 4x before 1/4x
then slope varies with the value of x
the slope = derivative of y = y' = -1/4x^2
and it has no defined slope at x=0, slope <0 everywhere else
but you probably meant to write y=(1/4)x + 4/5, then the slope = 1/4
when you write "line" instead of "curve" that suggests you meant a straight line
for y=1/(4x) + 4/5, the line is not straight, but curved, a rectangular hyperbola
with 2 separate branches. Each branch has a negative slope
