asked 07/28/21he Maverick Movie Theater sells a small tub of popcorn for $1
The medium-sized tub is a prism with a square base of 9 inches and a height of 12 inches. It currently costs $6 and is not selling well. The owner wants you to decide if this price is fair, as compared to the prices of the other sizes of popcorn tubs. How much should the medium tub cost if the owner wants it priced the same per cubic inch as the small tub? Write a note to the owner that explains whether the medium-sized tub is priced proportionally.

the volume of the small is 6*6*6=216 cubic inches, which in pennies
sells for 100/216 = $0.46296 per cubic inch
the volume of the medium is 9*9*12 = 972 cubic inches, which in pennies
sells for 900/972 = 0.925 per cubic inch, practically twice as much.
The price should be $0.46296 * 972=$4.50
