y = -3x -2 the coefficient of the x term is the slope. For a perpendicular line change the sign and flip it upside down to get +1/3 = slope of the perpendicular line
y= (1/3)x + b. To solve for b, plug in the point (6,3)
3 = (1/3)(6) + b
b = 3-2 = 1
y = (1/3)(x) + 1
is the equation of the perpendicular through the point (6,3)
or multiply by 3 to get
