Arnie is pulling weeds. She pulls 10 weeds in 4 minutes,at this rate how many weeds can she pull in 1.5 hours?

10 weeds in 4 minutes. That's kind of slow. that's 10 weeds per 240 seconds or 1 weed per 24 seconds. Does it really take 24 seconds to pull one weed? how hard is it to pull one weed?

Anyway,

in 1.5 hours that's 1.5 times 60 minutes = 90 minutes

she or Arnie pulls 1 weed every 4/10 or 0.4 minute = 2/4 of a minute

90/.4 = 90/(2/5) = 90(5)/2 = 45(5) = 225

she pulls 225 weeds in 1 1/2 hour.

If she's getting paid per weed she needs to look for other work, or speed things up a bit.
