17 x^2, -3x^2, 5x^2. Order them from smallest absolute value to larger 1<3<5
they're all parabolas, the -3 just makes it downward opening, instead of upward
widest parabola is the one with the smallest coefficient of the x^2 term (ignoring the negative sign)
18 -x/4, -x/2, 5x^2 1/4<1/2<5
20 it's a standard upward opening parabola y=x^2, vertex at the origin, but shifted up vertically be 4
vertex is (0,4)
23 downward opening parabola (due to the negative coefficient of the x^2 term) with vertex (0,-3)
