Just learned a new unit and im stuck on these 2 questions.

for 1. maximum point is the origin, (0,0) which is the vertex

the graph is a downward opening parabola, with axis of symmetry x=0 and vertex (0,0)= maximum point

the origin is also the only x or y intercept.

plot a couple points and connect them with a smooth curve

let x= + or - 1, then y = -3(1)^2 = -3. Two more points on the graph are (1,-3) and (-1,-3)

plot them and (0,0) draw a smooth curve through them, symmetric about x=0

for 2, it's an upward opening parabola with minimum point of the origin (0,0) which is also the vertex

axis of symmetry is x=0

let x=1, then y=4(1)^2 =4 (1,4) and (-1,4) are two more points on the parabola

connect them and (0,0) with a smooth parabolic shaped curve
