For me, I somehow got "no solution" but I know the answer is "infinitely many", I just don't know how to get it. Please help. Thank you.

2y+x =-1

-8x-8 -16y =0 divide by -8

x+1 +2y = 0 subtract 1

x+2y =-1 or

2y+x =-1 which is identical to the 1st equation

they're the same equations, linearly dependent. any value of (x,y) will satisfy both equations. There are an infinite number of solutions.
