This type of problem is pretty easy once you know how to do it. I will give several levels of explanation for this problem.
To find the new average, you would up all of the scores of Julia's math tests. you would then divide by the number of math tests taken.
The question states that for the first three tests her average was 80. That would mean that the sum of the average of those scores could be represented as 80+80+80. The next two tests had an average of 95. The sum of the average of those tests could be represented as 95+95. You would then add the scores together.
This should look like 80 + 80 + 80+ 95 + 95. You would then divide that answer by the total number of tests Julia took. She took a total of 5 tests. Try that, then compare it with the answer that I give below.
80+80+80+95+95=430 430 divided by 5 = 86. Julia's average on all five tests is 86
