Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
4x^2 +12x + 9 = 4
x^2 + 3x + 9/4 = 4-9 + 9/4 = - 2 3/4
(x+3/2)^2 = -11/4
x+3/2 = + or 1 (1/2)i sqr11
x = -3/2 + or - i/2(sqr11)
Unless "FOUR" refers to the number of the problem and not a coefficient of the x^2 term,
then
x^2 +12x = -5
x^2 +12x + 36 =-5+36 = 31
(x+6)^2 = 31
x+6 = + or - sqr31
x = -6 + or - sqr31
