A contractor must tile a rectangular kitchen that is 2 ft longer than it is wide, and the perimeter of the kitchen is 64 ft.

(a) Find the dimension of the kitchen in feet, using the first blank for the length and the second for the width.


(b) How many square feet of tile should be ordered if the contractor adds an additional 20% to account for waste? 


(c) Determine the total cost in dollars if the tile costs $18 per square foot. (Please do not put the dollar sign in your answer.)
