Me. Aitken empties his change jam from his room. The change jar has a total of 16$ in it comprised of only nickels and quarters. Mr Aitken has 3 times as many nickels as he does quarters. Write the system of equations you would need to find the answer. Define your variables

5N+25Q = 1600

5(3Q) +25Q = 1600

40Q = 1600

Q = 40 quarters 40(25) = $10

N=3Q = 3(40) = 120 nickels = 120(5) = $6

total value 10+6 = $16
