If solved for y, then the coefficient of the x term is the slope. If the coefficients are equal, the lines are parallel. It they are negative inverses, they are perpendicular. If neither same or negative inverse, then they're neither parallel or perpendicular
4 and -1/4 are negative inverses
3 and 3 are the same slope, i.e parallel
-2/5 and 2/5 are negative but not negative inverses
