y^3 +10 -24y^3 =
10 -23y^3 =
-(23y^3 -10) =
-23(y^3 - 10/23) =
-23(y^3- (.76)^3) =
-23(y-.76)(y^2 + .76y + .76^2) =
-23(y-.76)(y^2 + .76 + .58)
that's an approximation. There are no integer factors, so maybe that's the answer you really want: that it can't be factored. But if you allowed fractional or irrational factors, the above is a close approximation. There's a formula for the difference of 2 cubes: a^3 - b^3 = (a-b)(a^2 + ab - b^3) if you use it then a = y, and b = the cube root of 10/23 = about 0.76
Or maybe you just meant y^3 +10 -24y^3 could be factored as (1-24)y^3 + 10 which = 10-23y^2.
you can factor y^3 from y^3-24y^3
