y+3 = (-5/3)(x-3) is the equation of a line with slope -5/3 through the point (3,-3)
y-y1 = m(x-x1) is a formula for an equation with slope = m and through a point (x1, y1)
if m= -5/3 and the point has x1 = 3 and y1 = -3, plug those values into the formula
y- -3 = (-5/3)(x - 3). simplify
y+3 = (-5/3)(x-3) multiply by 3 to eliminate the fraction
3y + 9 =-5x +15
combine constant terms
5x+3y = 6
check it by plugging in the point (3,-3)
5(3) + 3(-3) = 6
15 -9 = 6
for a further check, graph the line and plot the point
