Perpendicular lines have special relationship between slopes:
(knowing that in an equation y=mx+b, m is the slope)
If one line's equation is, let's say, y=m1x+b,
then it's perpendicular line is going to have slope m2=-1/m1
Which means, our m1=2, and then the m2 has to be -1/2.
Just rewrite the given equation, but with slope m2, and that's the solution:
y=-1/2x+6
