How do I solve this math equation?

Nola is drinking a bottle. She drank 3/8 for breakfast. At lunch she drank 6/8. At what time did she drink more?

I suspect you have mistyped the question or need more information. The two fractions add to 1 1/8 (more than the bottle). If you are being asked to compare the fractions (did she drink more at lunch than dinner), look at which fraction has the larger portion of the whole. Is 3/8 bigger or smaller than 6/8? (It probably should be 5/8). However, this question is badly worded. It asks for what time. My snarky response is that I don't know when she eats or drinks. It should say," at which meal did she drink more?"
