If they are M miles apart after H hours then
distance - speed times time or M= J2H + J1H = (J1-S)H + J1H = J1H -SH + J1H = 2J1H -SH
2J1H = M+SH
2J = (M+SH)/H = M/H + S = speed of the slower jet
1J = J2+S = speed of the faster jet
