Hi Chris,
The slope of a line can be determined using the coordinates of two of the points that lie on the line.
Slope is (you can select either point as (x1, y1) as long as you are consistent):
y2 - y1 = -7 - (-1) = -6
x2 - x1 -7 - (-7) 0
This represents an undefined slope. Vertical lines have an undefined slope and these two points would lie on the same vertical line.
