y=2x-3 has an x intercept when y=0
0 = 2x -3
2x = 3
x = 3/2 = the x intercept or the point (3/2,0)
a line through (3/2,0)= and (-1,2) has slope= (2-0)/(-1-3/2) = 2/(-5/2) = -4/5
the line is y=(-4/5)x + b where b is the y intercept
plug in either point to solve for b
2 = 4/5 + b
b = 2-4/5 = 6/5
y = (-4/5)+ 6/5 or
4x + 5y = 6
