Let the 3 consecutive odd integers be X, X + 2 and X + 4
The smallest increased by 23 is equal to the sum of the larger 2 ==>
X + 23 = (X+2) + (X+4)
x + 23 = 2X + 6
X = 17
So the 3 consecutive odd integers are 17, 19 and 21
Check : 17 + 23 = 40
19 + 21 = 40
